![]() Doug Bruce's 5th album Unsung is a tribute to the songs of Buddy Bruce, Doug Bruce's uncle who he describes as a fantastic musician, songwriter and a huge influence on Doug himself. A very personal album, Unsung was introduced to listeners via the first release 'The Tears' which reached number 2 in the Australian Country Tracks Top 40. Born in Aubrey, Texas, Doug moved to Bendigo with his Australian wife and their young son (and since then they have welcomed a second son). Whilst only taking front of stage as a lead singer six years ago, Doug’s music career began almost 20 years ago, performing primarily as a drummer and backing vocalist for numerous bands in Texas. He also spent time in Nashville performing and doing studio session work as a drummer and backing vocalist. This afforded him many memorable experiences, including performing on the Grand Ole Opry twice, opening for George Jones with Billy Yates, and opening for the likes of Rascal Flatts, Travis Tritt and Charlie Robison in Texas. ![]() With multiple Australian Country Chart #1 singles, a Golden Guitar, 2 CMC Awards and half a decade of touring under his belt, Troy Kemp is one of Australia’s most recognisable country music talents of this era. About his brand new album Troy says, “Against The Grain is the result of a year and a half of writing and recording songs with my good friend and guitar virtuoso, Jeremy Barnes. We set out to write a bunch of country songs for an album that has a little bit of something for everyone. It has big rocking moments all the way down to heartfelt moments and we are proud of what we have achieved. We also embraced the challenge of producing the album and hope people enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.” ![]() With Bennett, Bowtell & Urquhart Kevin Bennett, Lyn Bowtell and Felicity Urquhart combine their guitars and voices in three part harmony heaven paying homage to their love of Roots/Country, and together exploring their own unique, original and soulful songs.
