Shane Nicholson - Love And Blood - [July 31 To August 04 2017]

Love And Blood is no departure from Shane's previous work, instead it hones in on his strengths of straight song structures, catchy melodies and well executed musicality with a workmanlike approach. It all seems to fit perfectly, almost too perfectly. Seamlessly even. The best country music shows cracks and the musical dirt beneath the fingernails.

AMERICANA may be the buzzword of the industry, but Rory Ellis personified this genre with pride, years before it became cool.
With his new album, One Skin about to be unleashed, Ellis is again set to push the boundaries and awaken the spirits of audiences, using his genre as the conduit.
This eighth release is already being celebrated as Ellis’ finest album yet. His debut album, Ride, was released in 2000 to four star reviews in national newspapers such as The Age, with all subsequent albums achieving equal acclaim here and abroad. One Skin breaks further barriers offering an intricate, yet candid lyrical ride, breaking convention and the glass surface of musical simplicity.

Here Now Forever is an album that captures the personalities of NeillyRich. The exciting duo, made up of Matthew McNeilly and Amelia Richards, earnestly describe their music as having a ‘modern feel with an old soul’ just like them.

“It is a country album at heart that dabbles in the blues, rock and pop. It really has something for everyone,” McNeilly said. “No two songs on the record are similar.”

Walshy caught up with Matthew and Amelia to chat about the making of this album, 2 years in the making

Since the John Denver classic "Annie's Song" launched him as a contestant on the X Factor in 2012, Jason Owen has planned for this album. His father, the much-loved patriarch of his family asked him again and again to do a tribute album. With his pop's health on the decline and the 20th anniversary of the legend's passing, Jason knew there was no better time for this album.

A labour of love, the album is packed with songs that made John Denver a household name including "Annie's Song," "Sunshine On My Shoulders," and first single "Take Me Home Country Road." Jason's exceptional vocals shine on the album perfectly capturing the soul of Denver's music, "I've put my own touch on each track, but kept true to the uniqueness of John's creativity."

Walshy caught up with Jason Owen and chatted all about the making of this album. Listen below
