One half of country duo Sunny Cowgirls, Celeste Clabburn has released her debut solo record Keeping Me Here, out now via WJO Australia. But contrary to the old rumour mill, there is no negative vibes or inner conflict between her and her musical and blood sister Sophie. In fact, the pair are preparing to release a brand new record next year.
But back to Celeste's solo album. It consists of 8 tracks written by Celeste herself, with two tracks created from co-writing sessions with James Gillard and Broderick Smith from country rock legends The Dingoes. Not only this but Celeste also took on a production role for the record, allowing her to take full reigns on creating her vision.
Having spent the last ten years in the industry, with hugely popular shows across Australia and seven successful albums with Sunny Cowgirls, it’s hard to believe that Celeste is still only 28.
Walshy took the opportunity to chat to Celeste across the week, listen in!
