For a lass that can shoot a gun, ride a horse and write songs while driving a tractor, Fanny Lumsden is the genuine article. With her impeccable voice and timeless skill for songwriting, Fanny and the Thrillseekers deliver a ‘kick-arse country hoedown’ that combines pure country twang and folk-fuelled shuffles while embracing pop and grounding them in traditional musical terrain. The songs on'Small Town Big Shot' The songs mix sass and honesty and draw from family life in rural Australia and a typical 90s aussie upbringing. The performance, well its just plain ole fun. With an ability to appeal to all ages and demographics 2014 has seen the Fanny and the boys play all over Australia from Tasmania to Darwin taking her stories and charm with her. A highlight being their completely self produced and managed, Third Annual Country Halls tour through the Riverina which saw many communities gathering for hundreds of Kms for a nights of live music. Thanks to a wildly successful Pozible campaign Fanny and the Thrillseekers are currently in the studio with highly acclaimed producer Matt Fell, cutting their debut album which has been named in the Au review’s 15 most anticipated albums of 2015.
