After a long career as not only a country singer, but also as a bush balladeer; Jeff Brown's eighth album, More Times Than I Remember, has finally been released.
Jeff’s voice with its crystal-clear texture and ever-so-slight warble is a mesmerising instrument. It should be on the wallaby full-time, like Slim Dusty’s was. But Jeff has other fish to fry or, as he so succinctly puts it, “other notches in the handbrake”. Life gets in the way of what deserves to be a far bigger singing career than it already is. His two lives operate in tandem, but as is the case for so many talented people, his art must give way to the necessity to earn a living. He speaks about the songs and the inspiration for his latest work, including his personal life, on Good Morning Country. |
