2014 saw the release of Ulong Creek's (between Albury & Wagga Wagga ) resident and Bush Ballader John Smith's third album Murrumbidgee Mud. The album contains 16 tracks, all fan favorites, all covers, with the exception of one self-penned effort. Following its success on many regional community radio stations, John and his bass player wife Christine were invited to appear at their first Mildura Independent Country Music Festival this year. It was there that Walshy became aware of just how popular this album and John Smith, the relatively newcomer, actually was. He invited John to feature the album on Good Morning Country.
