Norma O’Hara Murphy was born and raised in the Murray Valley region of country Victoria; where her mother’s family, of Irish decent, were pioneers of the area. Her two great passions in life, aside from family, have always been her horses and her music. Norma’s first album, Rodeo Queen, was released in 1982, and she won her first Golden Guitar in 1986, in the Heritage Award category. The new one Solid Gold is all about rodeo, horses, the drovers, teamsters, legends and heroes!
Produced by Kevin Walsh, the Album of the Week feature is heard live on GMC every morning. You can hear the interviews in full here.
