Kirsty Lee Akers’ journey as both a recording artist and a person is unique within Australia and around the world. Proud of her indigenous heritage as a woman of the Wonnarua people (Hunter Valley – Australia), she has embraced a global musical culture and now spends her time between Australia and the USA. Whilst she lives in Nashville for a large portion of the year, Australia will always be her spiritual home.
“Music and family have always been the most important parts of my life. My Nan, Mum and Aunt were singers, and I grew up with my pop playing Country Music all the time. I still remember my first performance at age three. I was hooked! ” – Kirsty Lee Akers

Rachel Summerell has a heartfelt writing style with powerful lyrics, catchy melodies and a beautiful voice that knows how to tell a story.

Rachel wrote her first song at seven but life's struggles meant that music became something only dreams were made of. Rachel continued to write but only sang covers in public, winning singing competitions, performing in bands, musicals and choirs - even running a karaoke business. But Rachel's passion for performing her originals never let her be, so with a heavy dose of self-belief, she put her songs 'out there'.

In 2011, Rachel won the Tamworth Songwriters Association National Competition and in 2014, joined LBS Music, released her first single, "I'll Miss You" and won Best New Talent Radio Award for 1629 AM Newcastle and Coast FM 963 Gosford. In 2015, Rachel released her second single, 'You're My Man' along with a stunning video clip. Most recently, Rachel won the Gold Medallion Media Award for New Talent of the Year and has just released her debut album No Secrets.

Part of Me, Kristy’s second release for Pisgah Ridge Records, (an imprint of the Crossroads Label Group), is packed with emotional songs sung from the heart, and delivered by a true vocal powerhouse.

Straight ahead, driving bluegrass cuts like the fast moving 'Another Weary Mile', the heartbreaking ballad 'Daddy Doesn’t Pray Anymore', paint emotive visuals, as does the booze drenched bar room story 'Little White Whiskey Lies'. A tribute to the long lasting love shared by Kristy’s own mother and father comes to life in 'Young Love Never Grows Old'. Kristy is a rising talent on an ever-stronger foundation.

Produced by award winning Nashville-based songwriter Jerry Salley, Part of Me, features interesting arrangements that often take unexpected turns, with a unique mixture of veteran, award-winning players, all in support of Cox’s amazing vocal performance. Kristy’s heart is Bluegrass through and through, and Part of Me shows a part of her that has quickly established her in a noteworthy place in today’s international bluegrass scene.
