After toiling over 25-30 tracks, the cull for the latest release by Melbourne men Mustered Courage was a hard decision to make. Yet  Julian Abrahams is adamant that their decisions were totally reflective of the new Bluegrass sound that the trio are striving for.
Recorded at Sing Sing Studios in Melbourne and at their producers home studio, the guys made a conscious decision to keep the process for White Lies and Melodies firmly on Australian soil following the introduction of a drummer into the fold.
Having met band-mate and Texan-native Nick at jazz school, the sound of Mustered Courage has influences a plenty, with the members having dabbled in the likes of hip-hop, grunge and jazz before settling down on the alternative country side of life.
Julian dialed into Good Morning Country to discuss all things music, the past and the future of Mustered Courage.

South Australia born and raised, Wanted is Angela Easson's debut full-length album. Recorded with producer Rob Mackay, who has worked with the likes of Tanya Self, Dozzi and Luke O’Shea, Wanted was a physical journey alongside a personal one, with recording taking place in both the idyllic surrounds of Queensland’s Hervey Bay and global country music capital Nashville. Angela took time to consider each individual song, giving it the necessary TLC it needed to stand  both on its own and among it's fellow tracks.
And boy,  did this work. Wanted consists of tracks that are gorgeous and gentle, taking a modern country ambiance and building on it with honest and identifiable stories and lyrics. Themes of family and love are the main contributors to this albums identity, and it makes for a truly human listening experience.
Good Morning Country's Kevin Walsh spoke to Angela about the recording process, her inspirations and hopes for this stellar album.

A true country folk, Graham Rodgers returns to Good Morning Country again with another fantastic collection of country ballads. It seems like a life time ago that this bush balladeer gave up his established career as a Queensland ambulance officer to take on a life of entertainer and performing musician.
Kept in high regard by the legendary Slim Dusty, Graham has come a long way from his very first album release back in 1998. He's proved his worth over and over again, including receiving the Hands of Fame award, winning the Golden Guitar and appearing in the finals a whopping 13 times, the leading recipient of Tamworth People’s Choice Awards and the leading holder of Tamworth Songwriting Association Awards, with a total of 27 which is more than double the success of any other artist.
Being 14 albums deep into his career, the last eight of these have all been featured on Good Morning Country following their release. So in a very special edition of Good Morning Country's Album of The Week, check out this weeks running interviews between two long-time mates, Kevin Walsh and Graham Rodger.

The epitome of a hard-working musician, Tamworth resident Brett Clarke knows just how much it takes to juggle a full-time position and fulfill his love of creating endearing country music. Growing up in the country music capital of Australia, Brett Clarke started his musical journey in early 2003, overcoming his fear of stage fright with the help of Kim Adams of Kim’s Karaoke. This is where his musical dreams of becoming a full time singer finally began.
Penning the title track of this album about overcoming his stage-fright, this debut record see's Brett fully embrace his talent for singing and songwriting. The tracks were created both in Tamworth and overseas in America through the help of a very successful crowd funding campaign through Pozible. Having toured Australia with ‘The Brian Young Show’, as well made connections with the likes of 2006 Toyota Star Maker winner Cat Southern, 2005 Nashville song search winner Shandell Tosoni and Golden Guitar Nominee & Award Winning Songwriter Wayne law; this album is a true expression of Brett Clarke's individual talent.
